About Us

Learn more about the foundation, how we support families, and how you can help.

The Steve McGirr Charitable Foundation is a not-for-profit, charitable organization created in the name of Steve McGirr; a kind, fun-loving, generous friend and family man who suffered and perished from a cancerous Glioblastoma brain tumor in 2012.

Our Mission

The Foundation’s mission is to provide direct financial support to Brain Tumor patients and their families for expenses related to direct and indirect diagnosis and treatment of their condition.

How We Help

We help families connect with diagnostic specialists, provide information regarding treatment options, and help to find emotional support referrals for patients and their families.

Support Us

Each year, the Foundation’s primary financial donations are provided through fundraising events that bring family, friends, and cancer survivors and patients together for a day or evening of fun and revelry.

Make a Donation

Your gift directly supports families facing brain tumor diagnoses, helping cover medical expenses, travel costs, and essential care needs.

Donations also enable us to organize impactful fundraising events throughout the year, bringing our community together while raising vital funds.

Every contribution helps create a network of support for families navigating this challenging journey.

Participate in a Fundraiser

Join our community events to celebrate life, honor loved ones, and raise vital funds. From charity golf tournaments to gala dinners, our fundraisers bring hope and support to families battling brain tumors.

All financial and prize donations are fully tax-deductible (IRS EIN# 90-1139797).
